Privacy Policy

Last updated: 4 July 2026. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

1. Information we collect

  • Account and ad information: name, email, phone, job or item details, photos, and location.
  • Payment-related information: we receive payment confirmation from Stripe (amount, date, status). We do not collect or store full card numbers, CVV, or card expiry on our servers.
  • Usage data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and similar technical data.
  • Cookies and local storage: used for preferences (e.g. saved email on unlock pages) and site functionality.

2. Payment security (Stripe)

All card payments on QuickPost Ads are processed by Stripe, a regulated payment provider (Stripe Payments UK Ltd is authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority). When you pay to unlock a job contact or list a shop item:

  • Your card details are entered on secure Stripe payment fields (hosted by Stripe).
  • Card numbers are sent directly to Stripe — they never pass through or are stored on our website or database.
  • We only store a Stripe payment reference ID, amount paid, and your email for unlock/listing records.

Stripe is PCI DSS Level 1 certified. Read Stripe’s privacy policy at stripe.com/gb/privacy.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to operate the site, publish jobs and shop listings, process payments via Stripe, prevent fraud and abuse, respond to contact messages, and comply with the law. We may email you about payments or your listings.

4. Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

  • Stripe — to process card payments securely.
  • OpenAI — only if you use “Get AI estimate” on Post a job (work description sent for pricing).
  • Hosting providers — to run the website and database.
  • Law enforcement — when required by law or to protect safety.

Job contact details are only shown to contractors who have paid to unlock that specific job.

5. Security

We use HTTPS encryption, secure server configuration, access controls, and rate limiting. Payment card data is handled entirely by Stripe. No system is 100% secure; please use a strong email password and report suspicious activity to us.

6. Retention

We retain your data for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with law, and resolve disputes. Payment records may be kept for accounting and tax purposes. You may request deletion subject to legal obligations.

7. Your rights (UK GDPR)

If you are in the UK or EEA, you have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Contact us via the Contact page. You may also complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).

8. Changes

We may update this policy. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Significant changes may be notified on the site or by email.

9. Contact
